Youth speech competition: Talents from Eisenstadt convince with strong topics

Eisenstadt, Österreich - The youth speech competition took place in Eisenstadt, which brought young voices and creative thoughts on stage. On May 29, 2025, passionate speeches from students from the 7th to 8th school levels, in middle schools and at higher schools, which contested the competition with great commitment. The competition, which included both classic and spontaneous speeches, offered the participants the opportunity to express their opinions on current topics and to inspire the jury and the audience. The following winners were chosen in the category of classic speech: Martha Lechner from BG/BRG Hallein at the 7th/8th School levels, Ronja Kühar from the LFS Bruck at the middle schools and Sophie Holzschuh from BG/BRG Hollabrunn at the higher schools. Robert Mayerhofer from Leoben emerged as the winner in the spontaneous speech. The “most creative mouthpiece” contribution, which was presented by Felix Repnig and Nils Huditsch from the Mössinger Gymnasium in Carinthia, was also particularly noticed.

The students not only took part in the competitions, but also offered a wide range of topics that stimulate thought. Burgenland representatives such as Aya Alibrahim from the Güssing sports middle school talked about human rights, while Adelina Kappel from Bhas Oberpullendorf focused on religion in modern society. Isabella Wagner from Bhak Eisenstadt dealt with social destruction, and Lena Roposa and Guido Klein from the Ecole Güssing spoke about the ideals of beauty.
